「助かるべくして助かる。」「信じる者はすくわれる。」というのが、普通の考え方だと思います。
ちょっと考えてみてください。
助ける・または助かるということを向こう（阿弥陀様・極楽浄土）においていませんか？
たくさん良いことをして、それを積み重ねて、自分で助かるのは自力です。
それをできるのは、よほど立派な方です。
ご開山さま（親鸞聖人）もお師僧さまの源空和尚（法然聖人）でさえ、
自力で達せることができずに、阿弥陀さまの教え、浄土教に帰依されました。
自分自身で反省したり、また自らの行動を改めることができる人は幸いです。
それは自分の非を理解し、非力を悟り、
大いなる御手（阿弥陀様）にすべてを委ねよう（信じよう・帰依しよう）とするからです。
しかし、阿弥陀さまの本当のお目当ては、自らの行動を顧みようともしない、
お粗末で愚かなこの私なのではなでしょうか？
絶対に助かるはずのないこの私、だからこそ、阿弥陀さまは助けてくださるのです。
見捨てないというのが、阿弥陀さまのお力（本願力）だと思います。
その阿弥陀さまは遠いところにいらっしゃるのではありません。
このブログを読んでいらっしゃるあなた、
あなた様こそが、阿弥陀さまなのです。
